To Deselect Elements in the Fence

Place a fence using the Place Fence tool (
split button).

Key in FENCE SELECTION NEW.
The elements within the fence are selected.

Place another fence such that some of the selected elements are covered in it.

Key in FENCE SELECTION REMOVE.
The elements under the new fence are deselected.
