For example, suppose level 6 is off in the design file, but you want this level to print. You can create the following level override entry to turn on level 6.

• Level: level 6, File/Reference: *, On/Off: On

The level 6 entry in the Level column represents the level you want to turn on or turn off. The " * " in the File/Reference column tells the system to search in the master file and all references. The On entry in the On/Off column tells the system to turn on the level indicated in the Level column.

It is important to note that turning on a level in a reference does not automatically turn on the reference. If the reference is turned off in the design file, it must first be turned on in Print Organizer’s References tab, and then the level can be turned on in the Levels tab. Also, if you have multiple level override entries in the Print Levels list box, the system will apply them in descending order, starting at the top of the list and working downward. So, if you turn on level 6 in the first entry and turn it off in a later entry, it will not print.

To select a level override entry or set of level override entries:

• Select the level override entry.
• Select a contiguous range of level override entries by selecting the first entry, holding down the <Shift> key, and selecting the last entry.
• Select a disjointed set of level override entries by selecting the first entry, then holding down the <Ctrl> key while selecting each additional entry. You can also use combinations of <Shift-click> and <Ctrl-click> operations to select combinations of disjointed and contiguous entries.

When you click the New icon, the software displays the following entry.

• Level: *, File/Reference: *, On/Off: On

To edit a value, double-click the value in the Level, File/Reference, or On/Off column. In the Level column, a drop-down list box is provided to allow you to select a level name or a level filter. You can also type in a level name, a level filter, or a regular expression. In the File/Reference column, you can type in a file name, a reference logical name, or a regular expression.
