To Set the GCS in an Attached Reference

  1. In the Geographic Coordinate System dialog, select the To Reference icon.

    The Set Geographic Coordinate System In References dialog opens.

  2. Select a geographic coordinate system. Multiple references can be selected.
    Note: If the active model and reference both have a GCS, and the reference is attached using a geographic referencing mode, the reference cannot be used as a destination for the GCS. Its position is calculated from its GCS and the active model’s current GCS so selecting it as a destination will not change the current GCS. The Comment column provides the reason a particular attachment cannot be used as a GCS destination.
  3. Click Apply to write the GCS to the selected references.
  4. Click Done.
