To Retrieve Indexed Data from Remote Machine, Settings on the Local Machine
- Start MicroStation PowerDraft on local machine.
- In Configuration Variable dialog, for the MS_DEF configuration variable, remove the default path and add the path where the data on the remote machine is located.

Create a link set and add the following configuration variable link to it: Sheets {Model:Sheet} $(MS_DEF)
A Sheets node is added to the Explorer.

In the Explorer, expand the node Sheets.
When you expand the node Sheets, the Explorer resolves all the sheet models in the remote location using the indexing service of the remote location.
