CONNECTED Users and CONNECTED Projects

Bentley now provides a cloud-based technology that leverages Microsoft's Azure cloud services to connect all users across projects. These services can be used to store the user account settings, project metadata, and published content. Organizations can enable CONNECTED users to register and collaborate on ProjectWise Projects. These projects contain project information such as Project Name, Asset Industry, Asset Type, Location, and so on. While creating a WorkSet in MicroStation PowerDraft, you can associate it to a ProjectWise Project. With that, the project information is included in the data files as properties.

When you open MicroStation PowerDraft and sign in, you can do the following.

Assign Projects to WorkSets

You can assign a project to a WorkSet. The project properties are then copied to the WorkSet.

Note: The project data, such as DGN files and library files is not stored on the cloud. The project data can be stored locally or in ProjectWise.

Publish i-models and Print PDF

You can share your published i-models and printed PDFs on the cloud. This enables sharing of your published content with other users.
