Setting  Description 

Split Method 
Defines the way that the curve is split.
 By Numbers — Splits the curve into equal arc lengths.
 At Kink Points — Splits the curve at all sharp or cusp points. If no kink points are found, the curve is not split.
 Into Beziers — Splits the curve into its Bezier segment curves.
 By Parameter — Locates the split based on the curve value location. Value:

Number of Splits 
(Method set to By Numbers) Input the number of segments. 
Value 
(Method set to By Parameter) This is a number greater than 0 and less than 1. Zero and 1 are the endpoints of the curve by definition.
