To Pattern the Area Inside a Closed Element Using a Pattern from a PAT File
- Select the element.

Select the Pattern Area tool (
).

Click the Element icon in the tool settings.
- From the Pattern Definition option menu, choose From File.

Click the Browse Cell(s) button.
The Select AutoCAD pattern file dialog opens.
- Select the *.pat file.
- From the Pattern option menu, choose the pattern to use.
- Enter a data point to place the origin of the pattern.
