To Pattern an Area Defined by Data Points

Select the Pattern Area tool (
).

Click the Points icon in the tool settings.

Choose the cell or pattern to use.

Enter data points to define each vertex of an imaginary shape that encloses the area.
The imaginary shape is dynamically displayed.

Reset.
The area inside the shape is patterned.
