(Technology Preview) To Place Item Types as Text using the Attach Item Dialog

  1. Select an Item Type in the Attach Item Dialog. Example: Escalator


  2. Set the values for the properties.
  3. Set Display Text ON icon to Show All Properties. The default setting is set to OFF.
    Note: Alternatively, you can search for Item Types properties by name using the Search bar on the right-hand side.
    Note: You can control the display of text using the Display Text ON/OFF toggle against the search bar. To control the individual display of properties as text, you can use the Display Text ON/OFF toggle corresponding to the property.


  4. Select the Element.
  5. Enter a data point where you wish to place the text.
  6. The newly placed text shows an association between the text and the element as a single text node in the Properties dialog. When you select the element, you can view the Item Type information as a single text node it in the Properties dialog. If you move the element or delete it, the associated text will also move or get deleted.


    The association is created between text and element and placed as one single text node and is viewed in the properties dialog.
