To Attach an iModel as Reference

Select Attach iTwin tool (Drawing > Collaborate > Collaboration > Attach iTwin).

The Attach iModel as Reference dialog opens.

Select the desired iModel to download from the Listbox and click the corresponding Download button.

Note: The first time you attempt to download an iModel, you will be asked to sign-in to your IMS account.

Click the Attach button to attach the iModel once the iModel is downloaded.

You will see all the models available in the latest version of the iModel in a models list box. Master models as well as all associated reference models will be listed here.

Select the desired model(s) from the list by selecting the corresponding check boxes.

Select Apply.

The selected models are attached and you can see the referenced design geometry in the DGN.

(Optional) Set the Display, Snap, Locate and Transparency settings.

Note: If there is GCS information in both the reference iModel and the active model in the DGN, you will see the AEC Transform icon enabled at the top. You can select this to apply an AEC transformation.

(Optional) If the attached iModel is updated in the iModelHub, you can select the Update iModel Attachment icon to update the attached iModel.

Note: You will see a message in the notification center if the attached iModel is updated in the iModelHub.

Select Apply. Changes will be applied to the attached iModel.
