To Add multiple properties in a single Report Definition

You can select multiple properties for a single report column in the Reports dialog. On execution, it shows valid value of the first property.

Example:

Consider the below-mentioned two objects:

DoorDoor (Properties – Door ID & Door Type)

Escalator(Properties – Escalator ID & Escalator Type)

The objects are attached to an element with the following values:



The report definition should show you the following result:


  1. Open the Reports dialog (Drawing > Analyze > Reports).
  2. Create a report definition. Eg: "Inventory"
  3. In the report definitions properties, select the Selected option in Objects. The Objects dialog opens.


  4. Select the Objects whose properties you wish to include in the report.
    Note: Select more than one object to view the properties option.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Select the report definitions Column.
  7. Select Add Columns. The Select Columns to Add dialog opens.


  8. Click OK.
  9. Rename DoorID to ID & DoorType to Type.


  10. Click on preview, you will see the following result :
    Note: You will see only the Door property. To see Escalator in the reports, go back to the column properties and select the property from the list.


  11. Click on Add another property and select Escalator ID.


  12. Click OK.
  13. Similarly add “Escalator Type” for “Type” column.
  14. Click on Preview, you will see the following results:
    Note: Multiple properties are visible in the single report definition.
