To Create an Associative Hole Inside an Element Using Optimized Fence Clipping

Open the Preferences dialog ( File > Settings > User > Preferences ).
In the Input category, set Locate Interiors to Always.
Click OK to accept the change and close the dialog.
Select the Place Fence tool.
Set the Mode to Clip.
Inside a closed shape, solid or surface, place a fence.
Select the Delete Fence Contents.
Accept.
Note: To keep fence clipping from changing the larger geometry in which it is placed, set Locate Interiors to Never or Visible.
