To Create a Complex Chain Manually

Select the Create Complex Chain tool ( Drawing > Home > Groups ).
Set Method to Manual.
Select the first element to include in the chain.
Continue to select elements to add to the chain.
If they are not already connected, the elements are connected as they are selected.

Note: These connections appear as lines that connect the endpoints of the elements. These connections are part of the complex chain but are not elements. They disappear when complex status is dropped. It is recommended that elements be connected manually before being included in a complex chain.
Reset to complete the complex chain.
