To Place a Fence Using an Element

Select the Place Fence tool ( Drawing > Home > Selection > Fence Tools split button).

If a fence already exists, it is removed.
In the tool settings window, set Fence Type to Element.
Select a shape element that is the same shape as the fence shape you want to place.
Enter a data point to accept the element.
A fence is placed. If you select a planar element in a 3D file, the volume is applied by sweeping the planar region through the model.
