Polyhedron

(3D only) Used to place a regular polyhedron SmartSolid having 4, 6, 8, 12, or 20 faces.

You can access this tool from the following:

  • Toolbox: Legacy Solid Tools

SettingDescription
Method Defines the method for determining the radius used to construct the polyhedron.
  • Vertex — Radius is measured from the center of the polyhedron to each vertex.
  • Edge — Radius is measured from the center of the polyhedron to the midpoint of each edge.
  • Face — Radius is measured from the center of the polyhedron to the center of each face.
Axis Sets the direction of the polyhedron's axis.
  • Points — Direction is defined graphically. AccuDraw can be used to define the drawing plane on which the points are placed.
  • Screen X, Y, or Z — Direction is set to the screen's X, Y, or Z axis.
  • Drawing X, Y, or Z — Direction is set to the drawing's, or model's, X, Y, or Z axis.
Radius If on, defines the Radius used to construct the polyhedron.
Face Number Option menu that lets you select the number of faces for the polyhedron — 4, 6, 8, 12, or 20.
