Left-to-Right and Right-to-Left - While the editor is capable of showing bidirectional text, based on the language entered, in either of these modes, users of Right-to-Left languages will find it more natural to edit in Right-to-Left mode, as the scroll bar is more naturally on the left, and the insert cursor is aligned to the right edge of the screen.

Vertical - Has a similar effect for vertical text (for example, some Chinese, Japanese, or Korean text). The primary scroll bar is placed on the bottom, and the insert cursor is oriented horizontally.

Display Options
  • White space - Displays formatting symbols.
  • Displays the ruler.
Editor Preferences   Opens the Preferences dialog.
