Fit to Element Range Dialog

Used to specify the print area indirectly by describing a fence whose coordinates are based on the accumulated range of specified elements.

You can access this dialog from the following:

  • Print Styles Dialog: on the Fence tab, select Fit to element range
  • Print Organizer dialog: select a print definition, select Edit > Properties, and click Fit to element range on the Fence tab


SettingDescription
Master model If on, the master model is searched for the specified elements.
Reference files If on, all reference files are searched for the specified elements, provided that no file names or logical names are entered in the Logical name list box.
References Lets you type logical names, file names, or regular expressions to identify one or more references. This limits the search to a subset of the attached reference files.

Type the reference file name, logical name, or regular expression. To remove a reference, select the reference and press the <Delete> key.

Types Lets you select the types of elements whose accumulated range will determine the print area. If no element types are selected, the application searches for all element types.
Levels (list box) Lets you type a level name or regular expression to identify one or more levels. This limits the search for specified elements to a particular level or levels. To remove a level, select the level and press the <Delete> key.
Cells (list box) Lets you type a cell name or regular expression to identify one or more cells. This limits the search for specified elements to a particular cell or cells. To remove a cell, select the cell and press the <Delete> key.
Colors: (0–255) Lets you limit the search to a specific color. Valid color values are 0-255. The field accepts a single integer value, hyphen-separated integer values for contiguous selections, and comma-separated integer values for non-contiguous selections. Example: 1, 2, 3, 5-7.
Weights: (0–31) Lets you limit the search to a specific weight. Valid weight values are 0-31. The field accepts a single integer value, hyphen-separated integer values for contiguous selections, and comma-separated integer values for non-contiguous selections. Example: 1, 2, 3, 5-7.
Styles: (0–7) Lets you limit the search to a specific style. Valid style values are 0-7. The field accepts a single integer value, hyphen-separated integer values for contiguous selections, and comma-separated integer values for non-contiguous selections. Example: 1, 2, 3, 5-7.
