Define from cell Dialog

Used to specify the print area indirectly by describing cells whose actual coordinates define the print area.

You can access this dialog from the following:

  • Print Styles dialog: on the Fence tab, click Define from cell
  • Print Organizer dialog: select one or more print definitions, select Edit > Properties, and from the Fence tab click Define from cell

SettingDescription
Master model If on, the master model is searched to find the boundary-defining cell. Turn off the master model to limit the search for the boundary-defining cell.
Reference files If on, all reference files are searched to find the boundary-defining cell, provided that no filenames, logical names, or regular expressions are entered in the References list box.
References Lets you type logical names, file names, or regular expressions to identify one or more references. This limits the search to a subset of the attached reference files.

Type the reference file name, logical name, or regular expression. To remove a reference, select the reference and press the <Delete> key.

Create one print definition from first matching cell (Visible only when specifying Print Definition Creation Options.) Specifies that the first matching boundary-defining cell be used to define the print area.
Create one print definition for each matching cell (Visible only when specifying Print Definition Creation Options.) Specifies that one plot be created from each boundary-defining cell.
Cell name Lets you type the name of a boundary-defining cell whose actual coordinates define the print area. You also can type a regular expression to select a cell. For example, if you type a.*, the cell properties will match every cell beginning with a. The comparisons are not case sensitive.
