| Use Single AE/MSFORMS Tables |
If on, single AE and MSFORMS tables are maintained, as with the database interfaces supplied with previous versions of MicroStation. If off (the default), single versions of AE and MSFORMS are maintained for each table in MSCATALOG. A particular table's AE is created the first time a row in that table is defined as the Active Entity. At shutdown, or when another database is selected, all of the "temporary" AE tables in the database are dropped. This scheme avoids the overhead of dropping and creating the AE table every time an active entity is defined from a different table. |
