Used to export and import item
type definitions and instances to and from Excel files respectively.
You can access this tool from the following:

Displays the settings for item types instances' import and
export.

Displays the settings for item type definitions' import and
export.

|
Displays settings for importing item type definitions
or instances.

| Export
|
Displays settings for exporting item type
definitions or instances.

| Selection Type
|
(Available only when Instances > Export is
selected) Allows you to select from the following options:
- All - exports all
item type instances found in the model to export.
- Current Selection -
exports item type instances attached to the selected element.
- By fence - exports
item type instances attached to elements inside a fence selection.

| Import/Export from
|
Allows you to choose the location to which or from
where to export or import the definitions/instances respectively.
|
| Import/Export
|
Imports or Exports item type definitions and
instances.
|
| Cancel
|
Cancels the task of import or export and exits the
dialog.
