Generate Display Rules Dialog

Used to automatically generate display rules based on property values or ranges.
You can access this dialog from the following:
  • Display Rules dialog: click Generate
SettingDescription
Property Allows you to select the property for which the condition will be created.
Method Sets the display rules generation method:
  • By Range - Divides the selected range into specified rule counts.
  • By Value - Creates a display rule for each specified value.
Rules (Available only when Method is set to By Range) Sets the number of rules that you want to generate.
Values (Available only when Method is set to By Value) Selecting the option opens a pop-up window which displays the available values and allows you to select the values for which the display rules will be generated. You can also add new values by entering them in the Selected values field and clicking .
Min-Max slider (Available only when Method is set to By Range) Allows you to select the range of property values. Display rules are generated for the selected range of property values.
The minimum and maximum values are displayed below the slider.
Enable/Disable element color override
If on, allows you to select the element color override for the given range. Colors from the gradient bar next to the check box will be picked for actions at equal intervals depending on rules count. The keys on the left and right side of the bar allow you to change the start and end colors of the gradient respectively. Clicking the box at the bottom of the key opens the Modify Color dialog from which you can select the desired color. You can also add more keys by clicking anywhere on the bar. When a key is created, it uses the current interpolated value from the position in the bar. To delete an additional key, select the box on the upper part of the key (it will turn blue) and press the <Delete> key.
Enable/Disable fill color override
If on, allows you to select the fill color override for the given range. Colors from the gradient bar next to the check box will be picked for actions at equal intervals depending on rules count. Enable/Disable line weight override
If on, allows you to select the minimum and maximum line weight override for the given range.
Enable/Disable element transparency override
If on, allows you to select the minimum and maximum transparency override for the given range.
Enable/Disable element priority override
If on, allows you to select the minimum and maximum priority override for the given range.
Preview Displays a preview of the list of display rules that will be generated depending on the conditions and actions set.
Replace existing/Add at the end If you select Replace existing, all the existing display rules are replaced. If you select Add at the end, the display rules will be added after the existing display rules.
Generate Creates the display rules and displays them in the Display Rules dialog.
