In addition to using the Element Selection tool to group elements for manipulation, you can group elements with a fence. Additionally, you can create named boundaries that you can recall later to again group the elements. A fence creates a temporary grouping of elements that is ended when the DGN file is closed, if not before. When you create named boundaries, however, you can recall these at a latter stage. You can also create permanent groupings such as graphic groups, or named groups.
