Bentley now has the infrastructure for checking and installing product updates directly using the CONNECTION Client. If you choose to update a product, the download and installation of the update takes place automatically. Following settings are added to MicroStation to achieve this:

1. Check Product Updates (File > Help > Check Product Updates) - Clicking this setting opens the Options dialog of the CONNECTION Client, from where you can choose to update the product.
2. Check for Updates on Product Launch (Preferences Dialog, Update Settings Category) - If on (default), check for updates every time MicroStation is started.
