To Add a Control Point to a Curve

Select the Insert Vertex tool (Drawing > Home > Modify > More split button).
Select the curve either at the endpoint or midpoint on the curve.
Enter a data point to position the new point.
Order will be increased by 1 for each vertex added to either the middle or end of the curve. The curve shape may also change.
