To Assign a Constant or Variable to a Dimensional Constraint

  1. Select the Assign Variable to Dimensional Constraint tool.
  2. Select the text element that contains the constant or variable.
  3. Select the dimensional constraint.

    If a variable is assigned, the dimensional constraint's value becomes an unknown and one degree of freedom is added.
