To Associate a Saved View with a Callout

  1. Place a section, detail, or elevation callout on the sheet, with the applicable Create Drawing setting turned off.
  2. (Optional) If the saved view does not exist, create it in the design with View Type set to correspond with the callout type.
  3. In the Saved Views dialog, right-click the saved view in the list, and select Associate Callout.
  4. Select the callout on the sheet.

    At this point the association is in effect. You can then place the saved view on the sheet by right-clicking the callout and selecting Place Drawing.
