Several settings control the way in which solids and surfaces are treated.

First, you should check that the Solids Accuracy is set appropriately for the solids that you are working with. This is controlled by the Solids setting in the Advanced Unit Settings dialog.

Other settings, as described in the following, control both the display and the method for selecting solids and surfaces, as well how they are treated when exported as visible edges.
