To Attach an Item to an Element

Do one of the following:

In the Drawing workflow, on the Attach tab, in the Item Types group, select Attach Item.

or

In the Item Types dialog, right-click the item type and select Attach to Element.

or

In the Explorer dialog File tab, expand the Item Type library, right-click on the item type and select Attach Item.

or

In the Explorer dialog File tab, navigate to an element in the active model, right-click on the element and select Attach Item.

(Optional) In the Attach Item tool settings window, select the item type from the Item Types drop-down list. You can select multiple items.

(Optional) In the Attach Item tool settings window, change the values of the properties.

Do one of the following:

Select the element to which you want to attach the item.

or

If you have already selected an element from the Explorer dialog File tab then enter data point.
