Named Expressions
Named expressions are used to retrieve values from application data structures and properties of application data, such as files, models, and elements. They are stored in the configured DGN libraries defined by the following configuration variables (MS_GUIDGNLIBLIST and MS_DGNLIBLIST_PRINTING). These expressions are evaluated and their results are used for print definition and output file names.
You can use named expressions in Print Organizer in the following locations:
- Output File Name Expression dialog
- Default Print Definition Name Expression dialog
- Rename Print Definitions by Expression dialog
Named expressions are created using MicroStation's Named Expressions dialog ().
