Oracle
Oracle, by Oracle Corporation (http://www.oracle.com/), is a very popular database based on the client-server model.
Oracle offers several database products with varying capabilities that can be used with MicroStation. Although there are significant differences between these products, the MicroStation issues revolve around the following questions:
- Is access required to a local or remote (on a server) database?
- Will access be required from several different types of systems?
The following is a partial listing of Oracle products and requirements for their use with local and remote (on a server) databases:
