To Detach an Item from an Element

Do one of the following:

In the Drawing workflow, on the Attach tab, in the Item Types group, select Detach Item.

or
In the Explorer dialog File tab, right-click on the element from which you want to detach the item and select Detach Item.
(Optional) In the Detach Item tool settings window, in the Item Types drop-down list, select the item type.
Do one of the following:

Select the element from which you want to detach the item.

or
If you have already selected the element from the Explorer dialog File tab then enter a data point.
