To Interact with Windows Location Services

  1. In the Drawing workflow, on the Utilities tab, in the Geographic group, select Global Positioning System (GPS).

    The Global Positioning System dialog opens.

  2. In the Settings tab, in GPS Type section, set the Device Type setting to Windows Location Services.

    MicroStation attempts to connect to Windows Location Services. When a location device is connected and provides location data, the red connection status indicator changes to green, and the Track icon is automatically selected.

  3. Adjust the Tracking, Trail, and device settings.
  4. Use the tools in the Global Positioning System dialog to interact with the Windows Location Services.
