To Calculate the Solar Exposure

  1. Open the Solar Exposure Calculator dialog, choose the settings and click OK.

    The solar exposure is calculated for the time and date you set.

  2. In the Create Solar Exposure Output File dialog that opens, save the file.

    By default, the output file is given the same name as the original file with a _Solar extension to the name, for example, Building_Solar.dgn. Results are stored as 3D, intelligent mesh objects that can be interactively queried, viewed or published.

    The newly saved file automatically opens displaying the solar exposure.
