Creating Dimension-Driven Cells

A dimension-driven cell is one that is constrained by dimensions and/or formulae. It can serve as a template for a family of cells that can be derived — solved for a specified set of dimension values. Constraints and constructions represent a dimension-driven cell's underlying structure. A derived cell is a cell in a design that is derived from a dimension-driven cell.

Dimension-driven design tools are used to specify constraints and constructions that determine the size, extent, or shape of associated elements in the model. All dimension-driven design tools are in the DD Design toolbox.

The dimensions and constants on which a dimension-driven cell are based can be modified with the Dimension-Driven Design dialog.
