To Set the Snap Mode Override via the Status Bar

Click the Snap Mode field (shown by the active snap mode) located on the status bar.
The Snaps ribbon group pop-up appears.
Select the desired Snap Mode override by clicking the respective icon.
Note: The Default Snaps menu is used for selecting the default snap mode, not for the override.
