To Place a Parametric Cell

Open the Cell Library dialog from the Place Active Cell tool.

Select File > Attach File.

Attach Cell Library dialog opens.

Select the DGN file which contains the parametric model you wish to place, and then click Open.

The models in the selected DGN file are listed in Cell Library dialog.

(Optional) To place a local parametric cell definition, turn on Show Shared and Parametric Cell Definitions.

Do one of the following:

Double-click the model or the local definition.

or

Right-click the model and select Place Cell from the pop-up menu.

The Place Parametric Cell tool opens with the variations and variables populated in the setting window.

Select the variation from the Variation drop-down list. The variable values displayed in the Properties section will update to reflect the values specified by the selected variation.

Note: You can edit the variables of the placed parametric cell in the Properties section of Place Parametric Cell tool setting.

(Optional) In the Active Angle field, set the angle at which you want to place the parametric cell.

Enter a data point to place the parametric cell.
