To Update a Reference When MicroStation Cannot Locate the File

In References dialog's list box, double-click the reference.
The Attachment Properties dialog opens.
Do one of the following:

In the File Name field, key in the new file specification.

or
Click the Browse button, select the reference in the Reattach Reference dialog, then click OK to return to the Attachment Properties dialog.
Click OK.
