To Check the Value of a Configuration Variable

  1. Key in EXPAND ECHO $(<configuration_variable>).

    If the specified configuration variable is defined, it is displayed in the Message Center field of the status bar.

  2. Click the Message Center field in the status bar.

    The Message Center window opens. The Message Details section of the dialog displays the value of the configuration variable that you keyed in.
