To Query material Attachments to Faces of Solids/Surfaces

Select the Query Material tool.
The Apply Material tool opens with Query selected.
Select the surface or solid.
Move the pointer over the required face so that it highlights.
The status bar displays the name of the material attached, or informs you that no material is attached, to the face.
