You have the option to name revisions by applying tags. The Design History Tags dialog is used to add and remove tags. The Tags column in the Design History dialog shows, for each revision, all tags that refer to that revision.

For example, a revision of 4.8 may have been committed when a project was 50% complete. Creating a tag for that revision named "50% complete" identifies the revision more clearly. The tagged design history can then be attached as a reference.
