Fit to View

Used to fit one or more raster images to a view(s). This can also be done by using the Fit View tool. If desired, the tool settings can be set in order to only Fit to View raster images.

You can access this tool from the following:

  • Ribbon: Drawing > Attach > Raster
  • Raster Manager dialog: Click Fit to View icon
  • Toolbox: Raster Display


SettingDescription
Mode Sets whether all raster images are fitted to the view, or just those that previously have been selected.
  • All Rasters — Fits all raster images that are set to be displayed in a view.
  • Selected Rasters — Fits only those raster images that have been selected previously. Raster files may be selected in the list box of the Raster Manager dialog, or they may be selected graphically with the Select Rasters tool.
Expand Clipping Planes (3D only) If on, the view's Display Depth is adjusted, along with the view origin and magnification, so that all elements on levels that are on for the view are displayed.
Center Active Depth (3D only) If on, centers the Active Depth in the fitted view. (It is recommended that you turn on Center Active Depth when fitting a view you intend to dynamically rotate, or a view whose perspective you intend to change.)
Center Camera (3D only) If on, centers the Camera in the fitted view.
