Rotating Spatial Objects
You can rotate Spatial Objects using the User Coordinate System (UCS). The angle of rotation is anti-clockwise from the X axis, as illustrated below.
This is particularly useful when you have, for example, a circular Drift Zone at one end of a flight of stairs that you would like to rotate and use for the other end of the stairs.
To rotate an object:
-
Right-click within the space of an object and select
Rotate <object name>.
Click on the object, type Rotate into the Command bar and press Enter.
orType Rotate into the Command bar, press Enter, click on the object and press Enter again.
-
Click in the model to establish a Base point for the object you
are rotating.
or
Type a Base point value into the Command bar and press Enter. -
Type an angle of rotation into the Command bar and press
Enter to rotate the object around the Base
point.
Typing 45 will rotate the object 45° (UCS), typing 315, or -45 will rotate the object 315° (UCS).
