Revisioning the Engineering Work Package
Revisions allow you to make changes to an EWP without losing the previous versions of your files. The current revision of the EWP displays your current files, but you can view historic revisions at any time since all this data has been saved. Every revision of a file or EWP is clearly identified by its revision number.
You can revision files within an EWP, or you can create a new revision of the EWP itself.
EWP Revisions
Creating a new revision of an EWP allows you to keep track of significant changes to the scope of the EWP. To learn how to create a new EWP Revision, go to To Revision the EWP.
When you select an EWP, the current revision displays by default. The General Information tab displays the Revision Number and a list of all the revisions of the EWP. To view a historic EWP revision, select the check box next to it in the Revisions list. To download a file from the historic EWP Revision, go to the appropriate tab, then select the check box next to the file. Select the Download Selected button. You cannot edit a historic EWP revision.
Relationships
When you revision the EWP, relationships to EWP documents can become outdated. Several reports are provided to help you identify inconsistencies and update relationships.
