Activity Model

Erect, Fit-Up, and Bolt Typical Steps for that Activity Type.
Activity Type

Administrator
Administrators can add new
users, control which users have access to what security levels, and add to and
configure the
ConstructSim Planner software.
Attribute (data)
A single characteristic or data
item. For example, the nodes in the workspace trees each contain several data
attributes.
CAD - Computer Aided Design
Actual 3D drawings from third
party software that are imported to a VCM that forms the base of the viewable
and workspace project.
CAD Adapter
An interface that reads data
files from a CAD system.

Managed commands that have been
run.
Executed Workflow Organizer Node
Workflow organization of the
workflow that was run from the Workflow tree.
Field (data)
Same as attribute (data).
FIWP
Field Installable Work Package
(also known as IWP)
Guest
A user who is allowed to view
data within
ConstructSim Planner, but is not
allowed to change the data.
Hanglist
A list of components included in
a work package, shown in the order they are to be erected.
Hyperlink
A word, symbol, image, or other
element in a hypertext document that links to another such element in the same
document or in another hypertext document. The hyperlink is activated with a
mouse click.
Isometric
An isometric 3D drawing. Also
output files from Isogen and Spoolgen applications.
Isometric Adapter
An interface that reads data
files from an Isometric system.
Location Node
Used to set paths and assign
names to the paths; these paths are used in arguments for Managed Commands.
Managed Command
An executable script file that
complies with the Windows Script File specification as well as additional
specifications and formatting requirements as specified by the schema
(RCTManagedCommands.xsd).
Managed Command Note
Lists a managed command.
Managed Command Workflow Node
Connects a managed command (from
the NetworkLayout tree) to the workflow and organizes its input parameters.
MMS
Material Management System
Network Location
An information model structure
that provides an explicit model of the digital world in which VCM
implementations reside.
Node
In the workspace trees, each
item is a node. Nodes may also have sub-nodes, which you can open by
double-clicking a node.
Node Attribute
An single item of data belonging
to a node.
Node Tree
Displays nodes for the currently
loaded VCM dataset, which includes terminator nodes (those with no children)
and organizer nodes (those with children). The WorkFlow tree is an example of a
node tree.
Organizer Node
Same as ascendant node. The node
parent containing the current node; a tree node that has sub-nodes.
Parent Node
Same as organizer node.
Regular Expression
A mechanism to select specific
strings from a set of character strings. A set of characters, metacharacters,
and operators that define a string or group of strings in a search pattern. A
string containing wildcard characters and operations that define a set of one
or more possible strings.
Schema
A conceptual model of the
structure of a database that defines the data contents and relationships.
Scripts
Small free running snippets of
code to perform specific tasks like modify a database or convert from one data
format to another.
Session Node
Provides a means to collect and
group workflow runs when they complete execution.
Status Bar
Shows the status of the program.
Status Vis
Status Visualization
Typical Step
A step to install an object based
on its Activity Type.
UD Group
User Defined Group
User Defined Group
Allows you to group components
according to user-defined specifications. You can rearrange components in the
i-model from an engineering data organization to a construction organization.
You also can organize the components into different user-defined groups
depending on the construction phase of the project.
User Node
Users who have workflow
permissions to VCMs.
User Permissions
Control what a logged-in user can
and cannot do.
Validation
Checks if the managed command
with which the workflow is associated is present and correct, if any required
parameters are missing, or incorrectly placed VCM file, input file parameter,
or input folder parameter.
