Debonding Pattern Terms
Setting | Description |

Group | The group number. Each group consists of a maximum of two strands. For more information, refer to Strand Groups. |
# of Strands | Number of strands in this group. |
Y end | Location of the group, measured from the bottom of the beam, at the end of the beam. |
Y mid | Location of the group, measured from the bottom of the beam, at the midspan. |
Pull |
For each group, you may change the initial pull (jacking) of strands. The default value is the value specified in the prestressing tendon library (which is accessed by selecting the Prestressing Tendon item from the Libraries menu). |
End Debond |
The debonded length at each beam end, measured from the precast beam end. |
Midspan Debond |
The total debonded length at midspan if using midspan debonding/shielding. Usually equal to zero. For example, a value of 5.0 ft indicates 2.50 ft on each side of the midspan. |
Auto Debond Button | Use this button to automatically generate an optimized debonding pattern. Only straight strands can be debonded. See Automatic Debonding. |
Design Status Button | Click this button to display a design summary of the results. This is useful when manually inputting a debonding pattern by trial and error. |
Reset Button | Click this button to reset all debonding equal to zero. |
OK Button | Click this button to accept all the changes and return to the Strand Pattern. |
Cancel Button |
Click this button to close the screen without accepting any changes made and return to the Strand Pattern. |
