Changing What Displays in the Job Monitor and Job History Windows

The Job Monitor and Job History windows provide a description of what is happening (Job Monitor) or what has happened (Job History) to each file in the job. You can limit what displays these windows using the Filter Control dialog (Tools > Filter Control). For example, you can set the display so that only files that have successfully been processed are listed in either window. Or if you are troubleshooting, you can set the display so that only files that have failed to process are listed.

  1. Create a job definition and start that job.
  2. While the job is running, select the job definition and open the Job Monitor window (Job > Monitor).
  3. If the job has finished, select the job definition and open the Job History window (Job > View History).
  4. Select an item from any of the lists in the Job Monitor (Details tab) or Job History window.
  5. Select Tools > Filter Control.
  6. In the Filter Control dialog, select the column type to filter the display by.

The items in the list change to reflect possible status messages. By default, all options are turned on.

  7. In the list, turn off the items you do not want displayed, then click Apply.

Turning off an item hides all file listings that have that status message. For example, turning off the Failed option hides all file listings where processing has failed.
