Previewing Reports
The Report Preview window lets you check the content and format of a report before printing it. This window opens when you click the Preview button on the Report Selection dialog box.
Right-clicking a value in a report displays a pop-up box showing the field name of the selected item. Right-clicking the white space in the report displays a shortcut menu with viewing, printing, and exporting options. Commands for viewing, printing, and exporting reports are also available on the Report Preview toolbar.
A Look at the Report Preview Toolbar
- Print Report Opens a standard dialog box for selecting printing options. See Printing Reports.
- Export Report Opens the Export dialog box for selecting the file type and location for the exported report file. See Exporting Reports.
- Scale box Provides options for enlarging and reducing the screen display.
- Go to First Page Displays the first page of the report.
- Go to Previous Page Displays the previous page of the report (if applicable).
- Page box Indicates the currently displayed page number of the report. For a multi-page report, type a page number and press the Enter key to display that page.
- Go to Next Page Displays the next page of the report (if applicable).
- Go to Last Page Displays the last page of the report.
To preview a report
- On the File menu, point to Print and then click Reports to open the Report Selection dialog box.
- Select the report that you want to preview and click Preview to open the Report Preview window.
