Bentley OpenUtilities Designer stores unit data in the following default folders:

The folders are displayed hierarchically in the Folder List. The Bentley OpenUtilities Designer Shortcut Bar also provides access to these folders. Each type of unit data has its own distinctive icon.

You can also create custom folders to store units, materials, or custom costs for quicker access (see Customizing the Folder List).

Clicking the folder name or shortcut displays a list of records contained in that folder. The lists include public units in the database as well as any private units that you have created. The private units of other users are visible in the list only if you belong to a user group with the capability to view the private units of other users. By clicking a column label of a tabular list, you can sort the list by that property. The Find command can help you locate a particular unit in the list (see Finding Units).
