Building Units

The Unit Assistant provides tools for building a new compatible unit or macro unit. Building a unit involves the following steps:

Selecting the unit in the Units view and opening it in the Unit Assistant window.
Choosing components from the Units Catalog and adding them to the active unit, either with a drag-and-drop operation or a cut-and-paste operation.

To build public units, you must be a member of a user group that has this capability. A private unit can be built by any user who owns the unit.

Before you can build a new unit, it must exist in the Units folder. For more information, see Creating New Units.
