Modifying Placement Defaults for Feature Types
The Placement Defaults dialog box is used to make changes to existing placement defaults for a particular feature type. Placement defaults include attributes, geometry settings, and business rules. Bentley OpenUtilities Designer applies the new defaults when you select the feature type from the Features Catalog and assign it to the design.
The Placement Defaults dialog box can be accessed in two ways:
- From the Job Default Assistant-if you change a default within the Job Default Assistant, the new value will be consistently applied to any design that you construct with this job default until you change it.
- From the Design Assistant-if you change a default while working in the Design Assistant, the new value will be applied only to the open design, temporarily replacing the value of the active job default.
